What are the fees?

HiTip charges a 10% commission on received tips.

Do I need to pay taxes on tips?

Yes. Tips are subject to tax regulations in your country. You are responsible for declaring and paying taxes according to your local laws.

How fast are payouts?

Tips can be withdrawn to your bank account within 4-7 days.

What is HiTip?

HiTip is a digital tipping platform for service teams and individual staff. You share a QR code or link; guests choose an amount and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card.

How do I create a HiTip account?

Sign up with your email address. You will receive a one-time verification code to confirm the email before choosing your name and password.

Why do I need Stripe Connect before using the app?

HiTip pays you through Stripe Connect Express. You must complete Stripe onboarding (identity and bank details) before the main app unlocks.

Open Complete Stripe Setup from the onboarding flow or Payouts page. Finish the Stripe form in the popup, then return to HiTip. Until onboarding is complete, tipping and payouts stay disabled.
